A Unit is complete and a strong beginning on Spirit-in-sky-Paul-1 is under way. This is a good time to check in with each of you. And, a good time for you to evaluate how you feel about sticking around.

some people want children and cant have them, and some that can dont want them." i have spoken these words before don't know where, Angela. Think i added, We (my ex & me), were too old (ex 37; me 51) to be getting pregnant (still 8 mo. BEFORE our son was born) and yet, who were we to argue since "we prayed to be blessed with children and gave our word to GOD that we would be ever grateful and with HIS blessing we would care for & look out for them as HE did for us. Both me & my ex have & will continue forever to keep our promise to GOD, to Gavin & to Kelly. ON this Father's Day, i gladly bend down, lower my head & praise GOD for these beautiful children that i had been entrusted with.

Essay #4 TO : A person of color RE : Beware a “pale” face**
All “white” people look the same
. They come to teach, but not to learn; and to save but not to be saved.

In 1620, those with pale faces (mostly from western Europe and of those mostly from England and France) came to America and stayed. Their tenacity, as well as their sense of entitlement, can be seen in the presidential match-up of 2004, when both of the major party nominees John Kerry and George Bush the 2nd could trace direct lineage to these 1620 settlers.
The small matter that they were not the first persons to live on this land would be over looked because it was their “destiny”.
A person of color gets no solace from the fact that pale faces can just as easily turn against other pale faces. Religious differences would be sufficient reason to slaughter one another. It would seem that all pale faces had been born into this world with this “sickness” already in them. The “sickness” being that of believing some persons are better than others. Of course, when looking for a scapegoat it is easier to point at some other “group” rather than the behavior of persons within the group. For instance, has not the same “sickness” shown up within persons of color. A closer look would reveal hideous treatment among and within groups of color. From Asia, across the Middle East, to Central America, South America…one can observe the same “sickness”.
Perhaps the “sickness” arises where ever persons are not treated as individuals.
I am a first generation paleface. My father arrived in America in the mid-twenties when he was five. He arrived with two older brothers (ages 9 and 7) and a very sick mother. My Dad’s mom would die shortly after their arrival to the north beach area of San Francisco.

My Dad’s family was in the Supper Club business. My paternal Grandfather, Pierre. P. Servelle was a chef at the Fairmount Hotel in the City, and my Paternal Grandmother ruled over a booming Super Club, 25 miles south of the City (near the city of San Mateo). This was during the period of the roaring 20s; of “speak-easies”, prohibition, Al Capone, boot-leg booze, foot-loose and fancy free.
With memories of WW I shadowing them, they were determined to ride this fast-moving train to the promise land.
Being the youngest, my Dad was assigned duties that nobody else wanted to do but had to be done. I don’t believe he was an under age hit man…but I never really asked him…and he never mentioned it either. Did my Dad get rich? Some prospered after the Crash of Oct. 1929. I will say, my inheritance consisted of great storied. Oh, and the nurturing of two loving parents.
